Oh my gosh!!!!! I absolutely loved this place! I couldn’t believe how much it reminded me of Europe and how close it was to home!
This is honestly going to be one of my shortest travel posts ever because it’s basically just a photo dump! It’s because I have no specifics to share with you, but it’s because you should just wander the Old Montreal area and stop at what your heart desires! Just walking around is worth your time. It’s simply beautiful!
I am so grateful we chose this as one of our destinations. It was definitely out of the way as far as our road trip was concerned, but it was totally worth it!
We stayed for two nights, but unfortunately due to time constraints didn’t see as much as we potentially could have. Regardless, what we saw was just beautiful!
When planning our stop in Montreal I knew that Old Montreal had to be at the top of the list. With cafes, fountains, and cobblestone streets, I couldn’t wait to immerse myself.
We did other things in Montreal, but Old Montreal was definitely the highlight for me! We didn’t plan much while there and if we were to go again, I wouldn’t either. It’s a nice place to just walk around and explore. (read, shop, and eat. haha) There were lots of shops, for tourist type things, but also artisan things and fine wines, cheeses, etc. There were artists with paintings and jewelry set up along the street. There were lots of cafes with outdoor seating. There were horse and carriage rides. We even spent about 20 minutes of our time just enjoying one of the fountains.
