The Best “Bier” in Charleston – Bay Street Biergarten Review

I was compensated by Bay Street Biergarten with a restaurant gift card in exchange for an honest review. As always, all thoughts and opinions are 100% my own.

My husband, John, and I recently traveled to Charleston to celebrate our five year anniversary! If you read my recap you probably noticed that we did a lot of eating and drinking. We just kept hopping from restaurant to restaurant because everything was so delicious and unique. One place that we particularly enjoyed was Bay Street Biergarten! Continue reading

Charleston Anniversary Trip Recap!

IMG_4651

We decided about a year ago that we wanted to take an anniversary trip since this year marked five years of marriage! We decided between international, tropical, local (we live in the coolest area and never take advantage of it), or elsewhere. We ended up picking Charleston, South Carolina – not international, kind of tropical (hello palm trees!), and not local, yet close enough to pretty easily drive there. Continue reading

Guest Post: The Meaning Behind the Ponytail

Today kicks off the I Have Something to Say series! It has been in the making for the last few months and I am so, so excited to share it with you. I reached out to women in my life who fit all that this blog encompasses and beyond. The unique thing about this group of women is that none of them are bloggers. I wanted to give these amazing women an opportunity to have a platform to share their heart and they did just that. I have been blown away by their pieces and I know you’ll enjoy them too!

So without further to do, Vanessa’s the first one up! Her’s her piece: Continue reading

Our Unique Anniversary Gift Exchange

A few months ago John and I were talking about getting each anniversary gifts. Past years we haven’t exchanged and had just cut off specific time to celebrate our anniversary together. This year felt different though since this year since was a milestone year.

When we started researching what the traditional anniversary gift for five years was, we decided to make up for the past four years of gifts as well! Continue reading

It’s Our Five Year Anniversary!

I can’t believe it’s been 5 years since John and I said, “I do.” And almost 10 years since we met one another! Life has been a whirlwind since then and while everything hasn’t always been rainbows and butterflies, it’s shaped us into the people we are today and it’s made us think hard about what it means to be a team. We have purchased a home, said goodbye to many family members and a friend, had a daughter, done some pretty cool traveling, become Continue reading

Navigating the Airport Alone with a Toddler

I received the product mentioned in this post in exchange for an honest review. All thoughts & opinions are 100% my own.

Recently Adalynn and I traveled from Virginia Beach, Virginia to Denver, Colorado with a layover in Newark, New Jersey (going there and coming back). This was her first time on a plane (aside from when she was in the womb haha) so there were lots of unknowns!

I was optimistic that everything would go well because Continue reading

We’re Half Way Through 2017 – How Are The Goals Coming?

Happy Monday! This past Saturday was July 1st meaning we are half way through 2017! Can you believe it?! Back in January I wrote a post listing goals I had for the year, so this past weekend I sat down with the list to see how things were going.

I wanted this to be a true judge of where I’m sitting with my goals so I honestly didn’t look at this AT ALL until I was writing an update of where I am now. Looking at the list was a little disheartening because unfortunately Continue reading
